Serap Gencer is an experienced professional on Logistics, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. She gained her expertise working with leading multinational, national manufacturing and retail companies in Turkey.

 

Within her 20 years carrier, initially started from the bottom line expert position and reached to executive director position. Nearly for three years serving to companies as Freelance Consultant and Interim Manager to reach their objectives

 

She began in 1988 her professional career in Gül Elektrik as a finance and logistic expert. Later joined to Toyotasa as a logistic expert in 1993 and promoted to chief position which was a first women in chief position within worldwide Toyota Motor Corporation at that time. Nominated for two years Sabancý Holding Management Candidate Program selected and took more then 25 different personal and business development trainings. After 7 years she pursued her carrier in retail sector, Giysa (partnership of Sabancý Holding – Arcadia leading apparel Retail Company) as Logistic Manager, Ak Internet A.Þ. (Sabancý Holding E-Trading Platform) as a Sourcing and Project Manager, Standart Profil A.Þ. (Leading Weatherstrip manufacturer for automotive sector). During this time period gained different sector experiences, improved her management skills and capacity to view the “whole-picture”.

 

In 2005 returned to retail sector in Shaya Magazacýlýk A.Þ. (M.H. Alshaya Co. Middle East Retailer Company). Responsible with her team from managing 15 different brands, (food textile, accessories, and cosmetics) and 175 stores at that time logistics and purchasing activities first manager and followed by director position. 

 

Since 2007 September, she is running her own business (SCMFConsulting) as freelance consultant and interim management in logistics and foreign trading. Also in case required from other consultant companies, she is joining to these projects as a freelance consultant. During this time period, she managed more then fifteen projects with different companies from retail sector and third party logistics companies plus one international supply chain assessment project in pharmaceutical sector. With all these different projects, she improved her ability to relate to people at any level of business and management and good management skills also providing a high degree expertise to various departments and external customers, utilizing effective problem solving techniques to prevent any process failures.

 

She received her B.A in Science Politic from Istanbul University in 1889. Member of Þamil Education and Culture Foundation. She is single.
